Well done for posting initial planning ideas. I think your narrative needs bulking out. Students are rewarded for a variety of locations, camera angles and movement, particularly close ups.
ReplyDeleteA young girl with a briefcast.....not convincing, teenagers don't usually have briefcases.
Why is the girl looking for a brief case? Who is she? What is her profile?
Who is the man? What is his connection with the girl? What is his profile?
I'd suggest you try to plan a thriller which represents a realisation of every day fears.
A suggestion:
Your main character cutting up meat..this connotes violence/unpleasantness/anticipates treachery/murder.
Goes into the garden shed to perhaps get knife sharpener or shears/ or goes to take a shower.
Close up of intruder picking up carving knife from kitchen table
Close up of intruder's feet going up stairs
POV shot of girl looking through shower curtain.
Close up of knife penetrating shower curtain.
Close up of intruders feet as he/she leaves house.
Close up of girl in struggling to find her mobile phone...she is still alive...
This is just an idea and perhaps more realistically representing contemporary fears of intrusion.
Hve a think.........
